Native American Program at IRT

Join Cherokee actor and artist DeLanna Studi in her moving memoir of hope and discovery in And So We Walked: An Artist’s Journey Along the Trail of Tears, the first production of Indiana Repertory Theatre‘s new INclusion Series, a series that celebrates diverse storytelling. To learn more about her and her father’s ancestry and traditions, the pair traveled the 900-mile Northern Route, conducting interviews, hosting workshops, and connecting with the communities along the way, to help tell this complicated story of identity, history, and resilience of the Cherokee Nation.  The production runs from October 15 thru November 10.

“This isn’t just my story about my journey. It is a Cherokee story, one that transcends my own personal identity and experiences, and one that belongs to the Cherokee people, past and present.”—DeLanna Studi
