About the show

Come celebrate the “King of Swing” as one of today’s most accomplished clarinetists pays tribute to a personal hero: the late clarinet master, bandleader, and jazz pioneer Benny Goodman. U.K.-born prodigy Julian Bliss is renowned equally for his classical and jazz work, appearing in recital at the world’s top festivals and as a soloist with many international orchestras. The septet, founded by Bliss in 2010, specializes in Goodman-related material but also is known for renditions of Latin music from Brazil and Cuba and original arrangements of Gershwin classics such as “I Got Rhythm” and “Embraceable You.” Pre-performance dinner available.
