About Veronica Swift

A veteran at age 24, vocalist Veronica Swift performs regularly at New York City’s famed Birdland club and at Jazz at Lincoln Center with Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks. Her smooth style and scatting have drawn comparisons to Anita O’Day, Annie Ross, and Ella Fitzgerald. A 2015 prizewinner at the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Vocals Competition, Swift is the daughter of the late bebop pianist Hod O’Brien and vocalist Stephanie Nakasian. The Benny Green Trio is led by respected pianist and composer Green, who learned his chops touring and recording with such jazz icons as Art Blakey, Ray Brown, Betty Carter, and Freddie Hubbard.
