The Hunchback of Notre Dame

This musical showcases the Disney animated feature film’s Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Menken and Schwartz

Parnell’s new book embraces story theatre. A sweeping score and powerful story of the love of Quasimodo, the deformed cathedral bell ringer, for the beautiful gypsy, Esmeralda, makes Hunchback an instant classic and unforgettable musical. Music by Alan Menken; Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz; Book by Peter Parnell; Based on the novel by Victor Hugo

Bring It On!

Nominated for the Tony Award for Best Musical, this musical is about the cutthroat world of competitive cheerleading meeting the fierce rivalries of high school politics and romance. Bitingly relevant, sprinkled with sass, and inspired by the hit film of the same name, Bring It On! takes audiences on a high-flying journey that is filled with the complexities of friendships, jealousy, betrayal and forgiveness. This Young Artists Production is performed by actors ages 13 through 18.

Music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tom Kitt; Lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Amanda Green; Book by Jeff Whitty

Ragtime

At the dawn of a new century, everything is changing and anything is possible. Set in the volatile melting pot of turn-of-the-century New York, three distinctly American tales are woven together – that of a stifled upper-class wife, a determined Jewish immigrant, and a daring young Harlem musician – united by their courage, compassion and belief in the promise of the future. Together, they confront history’s timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair, and what it means to live in America. The winner of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Score, Book, and Orchestrations.

Music by Stephen Flaherty; Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens; Book by Terrence McNally; Based on the E.L. Doctorow novel of the same name

Cinderella

This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It’s Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” alongside a hilarious and romantic libretto by Tony Award nominee Beane as well as some new characters and surprising twists. Originally presented on television in 1957, 1965, and 1997, this new version opened on Broadway in 2013.

Music by Richard Rodgers; Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II; New Book by Douglas Carter Beane; Original Book by Oscar Hammerstein II

First Date

When blind date newbie Aaron is set up with serial-dater Casey, a casual drink at a busy New York restaurant turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner. As the date unfolds in real time, the couple quickly finds that they are not alone on this unpredictable evening. In a delightful and unexpected twist, Casey and Aaron’s inner critics take on a life of their own when restaurant patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents. Can this couple turn what could be a dating disaster into something special before the check arrives?

Music and Lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner; Book by Austin Winsberg

Fun Home

When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family’s funeral home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires. The winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book.

Music by Jeanine Tesori; Book and Lyrics by Lisa Kron; Based on a graphic memoir of the same name by Alison Bechdel
