“Dunkirk” at IMAX

DUNKIRK will be shown on 15/70mm film one last time at the IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum. Fans who missed the original release will have a chance to see the World War II film Friday, December 1 through Monday December 4 and Wednesday, December 6 through Thursday, December 7.

Clearest image available

Exclusively in the IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum, scenes will expand to fill the entire six-story screen, allowing moviegoers to see up to 40 percent more of the image with unprecedented crispness, clarity and color saturation for a truly immersive screening. The downtown IMAX is one of less than 40 movie theaters in the country to show the first-rate version of the film. The IMAX Experience featuring 15/70-millimeter film projection combines the brightest, clearest images at almost 10 times the resolution of 35mm film, with powerful, laser-aligned digital sound and customized theater geometry.

One week only

Moviegoers will have the chance to experience DUNKIRK in the format in which it was captured the first week of December. There will be one showing per night all week long except for Tuesday, December 5, as the theater will screen IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE that night. The film will be the last showing of the night and times will vary.

“For those who missed an earlier chance to see DUNKIRK in the IMAX 15/70mm format, we’re giving them one last chance,” says Craig Mince, theater manager at the IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum. “There’s truly no better way to see this film than in its original format.”

Parking validated

In addition to offering exciting and educational cinematic options, the downtown IMAX validates parking in the White River State Park parking garage for moviegoers. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.imaxindy.com.
