Come Fly With Us: Songbook Celebration 2017

Fasten your seatbelts for a trip through the Great American Songbook on September 30 at the Center’s annual Songbook Celebration and Hall of Fame Induction. The black-tie fundraising gala presented by Krieg DeVault celebrates the Center’s affiliation with the Great American Songbook Foundation and generates support for the Center’s artistic and educational programs.

About the evening

The evening includes the First Merchants Bank Cocktail Reception, a dinner and live auction, the Hall of Fame Induction and performance featuring Michael Feinstein and special guests, and swinging Katz, Sapper, & Miller After-Parties that will whisk you away to the nightlife hotspots of New York, Miami, and Las Vegas.

This year’s inductees

This year’s Hall of Fame inductees are the late Ella Fitzgerald, America’s “First Lady of Song”; the late Ray Gilbert, lyricist behind Disney’s “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” and popularizer of Brazilian music; and Mitzi Gaynor, the actress, singer, dancer and all-around entertainer whose stellar career has included film roles in South Pacific and There’s No Business Like Show Business.
