KISS front man Gene Simmons will officially kick off Hoosier Park Racing & Casino’s outdoor summer concert series on Friday, June 9. The legendary rocker was just added to the summer lineup, and tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster or Hoosier Park’s box office in Shelby’s Gifts.

Gene Simmons, known for his 1970’s stage persona The Demon, is one of the world’s most recognized personalities. Simmons is the co-founder, bass guitarist, and co-lead singer of the band KISS and famous for classic hits like Rock and Roll All Night, Radioactive, Deuce, Nothin’ to Lose, and I Love It Loud.

“We’re thrilled to have the one and only Gene Simmons kicking off this year’s outdoor concert series,” said Becky Young, Hoosier Park’s vice president of marketing. “He’s one of the biggest names we’ve had on our outdoor stage and we anticipate this show is going to pack the house.”
Motown revue
The summer concert lineup will continue on Saturday, July 1 with Motown legends The Temptations performing hits such as The Way You Do the Things You Do, My Girl and Ain’t Too Proud to Beg and The Four Tops singing hits like Baby I Need Your Loving, It’s The Same Old Song, and Loving You is Sweeter Than Ever.
I Love the ’90s
I Love the 90’s: The Party Continues Tour will take the stage on Saturday, Aug. 12 featuring TLC – known for mega hits like Waterfalls, No Scrubs, and Creep – as well as Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray, Rob Base, C+C Music Factory with Freedom Williams, and Snap!
Fourth of July
Additionally, Hoosier Park will celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with a free outdoor performance by The Fabulous Thunderbirds and the areas most spectacular fireworks show choreographed to the summer’s greatest hits on Tuesday, July 4, following live harness racing.

Concertgoers may also purchase directly from the box offices located in Shelby’s Gifts at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino or Indiana Grand Racing & Casino.
