Weekend of Dance at Tarkington

It’s a weekend of dance at the Tarkington Theatre at the Center for the Performing Arts.

First, there’s a mirror on a wall and a stepmother who wants to look younger than them all…  The Central Indiana Dance Ensemble presents two performances of Snow White on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

Enjoy the classic fairytale featuring a beautiful princess named Snow White and her journey with seven little men from the enchanted forest.  This tale also features the Queen and her magic mirror, a poisoned apple, and of course, a handsome prince!

Evolution of a Dancer

Then on Sunday, May 21st at 3:00 PM, the Indiana Ballet Conservatory presents Evolution of a Dancer. This one-time only performance is choreographed specifically to showcase the training process from their youngest 3 year old students to their advanced Pre-Professional students on the verge of their careers, demonstrating each stage of development along a dancer’s journey.

Act I begins where every dancer’s dream begins, in the ballet studio, where students work to perfect the art of classical ballet. In Act II, diverse contemporary, modern, and character works by our award winning faculty are featured. Join us for a fantastic afternoon of dance showcasing our talented dancers of the future!
