Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra

The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra Presents a Big Band Tribute to Buddy Rich, Tuesday October 14, 7pm at The Jazz Kitchen in Broadripple.  Also included in the evening are vocal tributes to Sammy Davis, Jr. and Natalie Cole.

A nationally recognized Jazz Orchestra, IJO will feature singers Rick Vale and Lydia McAdams in what promises to be an exceptional evening of world-class live music.   IJO performs outstanding new and classic musical arrangements of popular hits from the Great American Songbook as well as jazz standards from the very best of the historical big band repertoire.

Arguably the world’s greatest drummer, this special performance will feature a big-band tribute to Buddy Rich.  As an added bonus, the IJO will also present mini-vocal tributes to two legendary singer/entertainers – Sammy Davis, Jr. and Natalie Cole.  This concert is billed as a “can’t miss” night for jazz, big band, and live-music enthusiasts.
