Carmel Community Players presents GODSPELL, a 2022-2023 Rising Star Production! Kick off the summer with a zany performance, great for the whole family!

About the show

Based on the Gospel according to Matthew, Godspell features a comedic troupe of eccentric players who team up with Jesus to teach his lessons in present day, through parables, games, and interactive tomfoolery.  Godspell is the first musical theatre offering from composer Stephen Schwartz who went onto write such well-known hits as Wicked, Pippin, and Children of Eden. The first Broadway production of Godspell opened in 1976, and has been performed, professionally, regionally, and locally all over the world, through various modern interpretations.
