Among the last of the great musicians who migrated from the Mississippi Delta to craft the electric Chicago blues style at Chess Records, seven-time Grammy Award winner Buddy Guy has inspired generations of rock guitarists. He also established the famed Checkerboard Lounge and later Buddy Guy’s Legends nightclub on Chicago’s south side. His new album The Blues Is Alive and Well features guest appearances by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, and James Bay.
