Women’s Chorus launches 25th season

The Indianapolis Women’s Chorus is thrilled to share the news about their 2018-2019 season — it will be a year-long celebration of their 25th Anniversary! They will mark this important milestone with wonderful concerts, special events, and new initiatives.

Performance at Penrod

With many new singers in their chorus, IWC is eager to share their voices! Come join them for their first performance of the season this Saturday Sept 8 at the Penrod Arts Fair at Newfields. They’ll be singing at 1pm on the Symphony Stage. Also, we hope you’ll stop by our exhibit booth — visit with IWC singers and learn even more about this season’s concerts and other events.

Kickoff Celebration on the 24th

Join the festivities — select and screen print your own t-shirt and/or tote bag, enjoy snacks provided by Hoagies & Hops, and hang out and party with the IWC family!

Composition contest

Emerging Voices: Women’s Choral Composition Contest, is IWC‘s new initiative to encourage young female composers and to help generate more music for women’s choruses. Winners in two categories — teen and young adult — will receive a $200 award AND their pieces will be performed by IWC. Submission deadline is October 1!
