Indy Film Fest 2018

The film reels have hardly stopped spinning (figuratively, of course) and the folks behind the Indy Film Fest are already preparing for an iconic milestone year. Of the changes and celebrations for the 15th year, the most notable will be that the 10-day Fest will take place, not in July, but from April 26 to May 6, 2018.

The date change comes as a result of the Fest’s growth and prominence in the film community and is an effort to include more films and filmmakers in the Indianapolis event.

Fest’s Executive Director

“We are excited to make the change and to hold our 10-day Fest in the spring,” said Dan Moore, Indy Film Fest executive director. “We are ready to celebrate our 15th year and are looking forward to the thrilling things to come.”

Submissions open next week

Submissions for the 15th annual Indy Film Fest in 2018 will open August 1, 2017. Filmmakers interested in competing in the 2018 Indy Film Fest can enter their films under the same criteria as in years past.

Year-round activities

In addition to the 10-day Fest, the year-round programming will continue to flourish. Film events such as: Cereal Cinema, family-friendly films with a breakfast bar; Roving Cinema, cult-classic films in picture-perfect venues; Bigger Picture Show, reimagined movie posters from local artists on display; Rock + Reel, movies about music; Popped Up!, films across the city; and Film to Fork, dinner and a movie rolled into one, will entertain Indianapolis-area moviegoers as in years past.
