Bill Maher

Bill Maher delivered the first late-night television monologue of Donald Trump’s presidency. Bounding onto the stage at his Los Angeles studio Friday night, the Real Time host blew his cheering audience a kiss and told the many fans watching live on HBO, “It happened. It really happened. We Americans have a new leader: Vladimir Putin.”

In concert at the Murat

Maher brings his brand of political humor to the Murat Theatre at the Old National Centre on June 8th, at 8:00 PM.

Background

For more than 20 years, Maher has set the boundaries of where funny, political talk can go on American television.  He first started his career as a stand-up comedian in 1979, still performing at the least 50 dates every year in Las Vegas, and in sold-out theatres across the country.  First on Comedy Central’s “Politically Incorrect” and for the last 14 years on HBO’s “Real Time,” Maher combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs have garnered him 38 Emmy nominations, with his first win in 2014 as executive producer for the HBO series “VICE.”  in addition to his hit television programs, Maher has written five bestsellers as well as produced the documentary Religulous, which has gone on to become the eighth highest grossing documentary ever.
