Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming performance by vocal prodigy Jackie Evancho on May 20 at the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts.
Now making her second appearance at the Palladium, Evancho landed in the national spotlight at age 10, when audiences and judges on America’s Got Talent were so stunned by her flawless soprano and operatic repertoire that they asked if she was lip-syncing. In the seven years since, she has released seven albums in a range of styles, coming to epitomize the “crossover classic” genre of vocal music – singers who are equally comfortable with Puccini or pop. Most recently, she has made headlines since being chosen to perform the National Anthem at last week’s 58th Presidential Inauguration.
Tickets start at $55 for the show at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 20. Sponsored by Thurston Springer Miller Herd & Titak financial planning and investment management, the performance is part of the University of Indianapolis Spotlight series.
