In all the show won three Tony’s and includes great Gershwin songs like “I’ve Got Rhythm,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and “They Can’t Take That Away From Me.”  Based on the 1930 musical Girl Crazy, the story has a predictably simple plot.  The story centers around Bobby Child, who is dispatched to foreclose on a theatre owned by a family business in Deadrock, Nevada. There, he meets Polly Baker, the local postmistress and falls in love.  Romance grows, falters and eventually wins as Bobby devises a plan to save the theatre.
