One of Argentina’s greatest cultural treasures, Tango Buenos Aires is known throughout the world as the most authentic and uncompromising purveyor of the Argentine Tango.
In their performance, Song of Eva Perón, the company performs a sparkling and poignant work in music and dance that traces the fabled and tragic life of Argentina’s legendary First Lady. Inspired by the most important feminine character in Argentinian history, this work traces her ascent to fame in the 1930s to her death in 1952. Her epic life, from her humble beginnings to her world-wide fame, the story of Eva Peron is interpreted through traditional Tango dance and music.
Electrifying athleticism and sensual graceful moves are all part of an intertwining classic story. Heartache, revenge and pulsating desire will make you realize the artistry behind this troupe is pure passion.
“…repeatedly crafted swirling, fast-paced tapestries of movement, laced with proud postures and sensual couplings.” —The Washington Post
“Sometimes playful, sometimes dramatic, and always sensuous….” – Ruidoso News
