Final Weekend.
Set in a rock-and-roll poster shop in the 1980’s, this staging of Lightning and Jellyfish is a World Premiere play by local arts pioneer, Lou Harry.
Lightning and Jellyfish takes us into the hearts—and futures—of its characters. It’s about an evening in the life of a young woman on the brink of change–change that she’s trying to convince herself that she’s ready for. The tension between Realism vs. romanticism; youth and frustration. Approaching “Coming-of-age” more as a process rather than as a moment in time. It’s about what we forgive in others and ourselves. It’s about making a connection right now.
Or, it could be about that Flock of Seagulls T-shirt at the bottom of your drawer and whether Springsteen or Dylan wrote a better wedding song.
