Where the Wild Things Are

Kids, the Center for the Performing Arts invites you to unleash your inner wild thing the morning of October 28th at 10:30. Petulant young Max takes a dream voyage to an island of frighteningly adorable critters in Where the Wild Things Are, the masterwork of beloved children’s author-illustrator Maurice Sendak. The popular Peanut Butter & Jam preschool concert series, sponsored by law firm Keller Macaluso, dares to retrace his journey at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, with The Wild Things of Sendak, an Arts for Learning presentation.

Theatre veteran and pianist

Storyteller Will Gould, a veteran of the Indiana theater scene, is accompanied by pianist Dave Hepler for this jazzy, improvisational enactment of Wild Things and other classic Sendak works. And just in time for Halloween, kids are encouraged to show up in their favorite “wild thing” costumes. At just $10 for a child and two accompanying adults, it’s the perfect weekend outing for parents or grandparents.
