About Foster the People

Formed in Los Angeles in 2009 by multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Mark Foster, indie rock trio Foster the People make melodic, atmospheric and catchy pop tunes. In 2010, the band posted their single “Pumped Up Kicks” on their website. After releasing their debut album Torches in May 2011, “Pumped Up Kicks” became a crossover hit on commercial radio in mid-2011. The band’s second album, Supermodel, was released in March 2014, featuring the popular singles “Coming of Age” and “Best Friend.”
